The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band

Friday, 15th at 10:00 pm (The Moon at O'Bannon's) | Saturday, 16th at 1:30 pm (Main Stage)

The Reverend’s live shows are bodacious, rollicking affairs, and the Big Damn Band (the Rev on guitar, Breezy Peyton on washboard, and Maxwell Senteney on drums) leaves everything on the stage. Their corn-fed brand of blues is a hot funnel cake of country blues, a dusting of punk energy, and a deep fried reverence for acoustic blues legends like T-Model Ford and David “Honeyboy” Edwards. The new record, The Front Porch Sessions, was recorded in an old church with vintage instruments, giving it a homey feel. Dotted with originals, covers and instrumentals that show off the Rev’s deft guitar work, you can fairly hear the wood creaking underfoot - as the Reverend intended. It’s music that’s real and intimate and honest. “I’m interested in making hand-made American music, and the goal is to be timeless,” Peyton says. Now get you some sweet tea and kick off your shoes for this front porch session.
