Telluride is located 8,750 feet high in the beautiful San Juan Mountains! Travel by car on scenic mountain roads or fly in to one of many regional airports to enjoy the festival.

Flying to Telluride

Flights are available to the region directly into Telluride or nearby Montrose, Durango, Cortez, and Grand Junction. Five different carriers service the airports with a variety of non-stop destinations. International airports in Denver, Salt Lake City, and Albuquerque offer a scenic and manageable drive away as well.

Our transportation partner, Telluride Express, is Telluride's premier ground transportation service to and from all regional airports including Telluride, Montrose, Grand Junction, Durango, Cortez and Gunnison. Telluride Regional Airport is approximately 15 minutes from Telluride and/or Mountain Village. At 9,070 feet above sea level, the airport offers picturesque views of the San Juan Mountains. Ground transportation is available from all airports.

Parking

With a modest footprint and creative public transit options, Telluride is a breeze to get around. You'll find most of our parking is free and the Festival offers plenty of information on how to get around town throughout the festival weekend.

There's plenty of free parking available in the town of Telluride and Mountain Village. We do not have a specific parking lot for the Festival. You are free to park wherever there's a legal parking spot in Telluride or Mountain Village.

You may be directed to park in Mountain Village if there is no parking availing within Town of Telluride limits.

Telluride

Main Street and its adjacent side streets host paid parking (meters). Paid parking is enforced from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Sundays are excluded from parking enforcement. If you decide to park in the metered parking areas, you can purchase a receipt for up to three hours of parking at a rate of fifty cents per hour.

During the festival weekend, parking that is normally restricted to permits-only (O, G, and W Residential Zones) is open to anyone. You are allowed to leave your vehicle parked in these areas for the duration of the festival.

Mountain Village

The town of Mountain Village offers ample parking that's just a scenic and free gondola ride away from the Town of Telluride and concert grounds. While free lots can be found around Mountain Village, the most convenient parking area for concert access is the Gondola Parking Garage. Adjacent to the Mountain Village main road, the Gondola Parking Garage offers covered parking and quick access to the Gondola.

Camping at the Festival?

If camping at the festival, you will be allowed a short time (grace period of 30 minutes) to drive in to the campground and drop off your camping gear. Volunteers will be on-site to help direct you to available campsites and help with arrange wagons to shuttle your gear to your site. When you’re all set, you will then be guided by our fleet of parking staff and volunteers to the best available parking area off-site.


Getting Around

Telluride and Mountain Village offer plenty of free and paid transit options making your trip around town, to and from the festival easy and enjoyable. Everything in Telluride is within walking distance, so there is no need for a car during the festival weekend. Both Telluride and Mountain Village offer free and paid ground transportation, as well as a free gondola system to move between the two communities. Our gondola system is the most convenient and scenic way to travel between Telluride and Mountain Village.

Telluride

The Galloping Goose free shuttle bus routes fixed laps around Telluride every 20 minutes between 7 a.m. and midnight during the concert weekend. Stops are located every few blocks throughout Telluride and are marked by signs. Click here for more information.

Mountain Village

  • Free shuttles run throughout Mountain Village every half hour. For the bus schedule and information, visit the Mountain Village website.

Gondola

The Telluride to Mountain Village Gondola is one of the most unique, free, public transportation systems in the world. Use it to get from Mountain Village to town or just enjoy a ride for the spectacular views. It runs from 7:00 am to midnight daily.

  • Friday and Saturday - 6:30 am - 2:00 am
