Telluride Blues & Brews Festival - Day 2 Highlight Recap Video

Day two of the 24th Telluride Blues & Brews Festival showcased an array of lead guitarists with signature styles in blues and blues-adjacent music, but for the many that arrived when the gates opened, it was the sound of bagpipes that greeted them. The annual tradition signified the start of the Grand Tasting, a three hour offering of over 170 world class craft beers from 56 hand selected breweries from across the country. Introducing the Sierra Nevada High Altitude Lounge

New for the 2017 Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, our craft beer partner, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, will debut the “High Altitude Lounge”. The new lounge, located in the main festival grounds, will feature a lineup of rare Sierra Nevada beer offerings and give attendees a chance to interact directly with the folks from the brewery.

Kicking off at 9:00 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday of the Festival weekend, Blues for Breakfast offers a pleasant warm-up to a dynamic day and late night full of music. Join us at the Telluride's intimate Elks Lodge (located at 472 West Pacific Avenue), for a bite to eat as the first official chords of the day are struck.

Telluride Blues & Brews Festival teamed up with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, an educational non-profit organization to encourage all of you to green the scene by entering the “Making My Blues Green – Coolest & Cleanest Campsite Challenge". The contest is open to all campers attending the Blues & Brews festival. 2017 Telluride Blues Challenge Finalists Announced

Over the past few year’s, the Telluride Blues Challenge has emerged as one of the most coveted music competitions in the Southwest! Musicians from all over the country submit their best songs for the chance to make the top six and earn in invite to the Blues Challenge Finals held at the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival. Presented by Telluride Music, Telluride Blues Society, Gondola Sessions and the Colorado Blues Society, the Telluride Blues Challenge gives up-and-coming artist the chance to advance their careers.
