Telluride Blues & Brews Festival is dedicated to keeping our environment clean and green. Join us in our commitment to ensuring a greener future for the Town of Telluride, our Festival and Colorado.
Don't let your festival look like this...
The Telluride Blues & Brews Festival encourages fans to do their part when it comes to practicing Leave No Trace. While most conservation organizations work to repair environmental impacts or protect lands by limiting access to them, Leave No Trace’s solution to land conservation is to provide education that empowers people to enjoy the outdoors responsibly. By focusing on people and the choices they make about outdoor recreation, Leave No Trace plays a vital role in the conservation community.
In Town Park, the Festival offers FREE filtered water to keep you hydrated all day. Bring your own bottle or purchase a limited edition Klean Kanteen from our merch tent and refill your bottle throughout the day at our filling station on the west end of the Park and in VIP.
Ride the Galloping Goose shuttle and the town's free Gondola. Bring your bike. Take a hike. The Festival grounds are located in Telluride Town Park; a short distance away from all that Telluride has to offer. Join thousands of others to green up your trip to Telluride and use eco-friendly ways to travel.
Telluride Blues & Brew’s commitment over the past 6 years, to track and offset the events carbon footprint, along with offering event goers an easy way to offset their own emissions, has helped to offset approximately 786,000 lbs. of CO2! This has the same environmental impact as approximately 20,000 houses turning their lights off for one day, or like not driving 878,000 miles.
Over the years, fans have offset the equivalent of 220 pounds of CO2. That’s like not driving a car 240 miles, recycling 720 aluminum cans instead of sending them to a landfill, or as much as 20 young trees can absorb in one year.
Once inside the park, patrons find dedicated teams of environmental volunteers, helping to spread the green message by offering to take recyclables, filling water bottles at the filling stations, and helping fans to properly discard their waste in the correct bins near the vendor area.
EcoAction Partners was formed to further sustainability efforts in our region focusing on energy, zero waste and localizing our food supply. EcoAction Partners focus on the following programs: EcoAction Initiatives working within the community to reduce carbon footprints, the Zero Waste Task force assembled to enhance recycling and compost initiatives in the region, many exciting developments in the local food front, and much more. Their progress depends on YOU, your friends, neighbors, businesses, visitors…all taking action – EcoAction Partners are your partners in change.
