It’s Official! We’re Back!

As the nation gradually emerges from the pandemic and spring turns to summer, we are excited to finally announce that the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival will officially return this September 17 - 19, 2021! After months of hard work with local, county and state officials, we have developed an operating plan to safely host the festival that follows guidelines from governing health organizations and creates a controlled, safe and enjoyable environment.

SBG Productions has created a flexible plan and we are prepared to adapt if regulations were to tighten or relax, understanding that the nature of the pandemic can change day-to-day and month-to-month. Our team is excited to welcome everyone back in a highly-managed and safe environment.

New Safety Precautions

The safety of all event participants is paramount. In order to keep all festival attendees, staff, artists, vendors, volunteers and community members safe, we will follow all local and state COVID-19 health & safety guidelines in place at the time of the festival and will communicate all requirements to ticket-holders before the festival.

  • The festival will employ a team of helpful, roaming “Safety Rangers”, to answer any questions and ensure that safety protocols are met throughout the festival.

  • We have tripled the amount of hand wash and sanitization stations throughout the venue and increased the frequency of periodic cleaning of restrooms and high-touch areas.

  • Our team will utilize a strategic plan to control traffic flows and mitigate potential congestion.

  • Festival staff will adhere to a health screening prior to each day.

Please note that all of the above precautions are subject to change in accordance with local and state COVID-19 health & safety guidelines.

Special Festival Events Cancelled For 2021: Grand Tasting, Kids Area, Blisters & Blues 5K, Blues For Breakfast

After careful consideration and out of abundance of caution, the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival has decided not to hold the Grand Tasting, Blisters & Blues 5k Fundraiser Race, Blues for Breakfast, Telluride Blues Challenge or have a Kids Area at the 2021 Festival. All of these special events are important to the experience we strive to deliver at the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, but more importantly, we want to protect our festival community. These components presented too many risks and challenges to produce this year. Not to worry - all of these events along with the Kids Area will return in 2022!

The Grand Tasting and the ‘brews’ aspect of the festival is a part of our heritage and something that our attendees and brewery partners look forward to every year. We have carefully examined the situation and what others in the industry are planning and simply stated, there was not a feasible, covid-safe option for an event of our size. Craft beer lovers fear not! The Grand Tasting will be back in 2022 and we have some new beer aspects for you to enjoy at this year's festival. Read about them below.

2021 craft beer offerings at the Festival will include:

  • Expanded House of Brews bar options at multiple bars. This will include 18+ styles of beer from a variety of local, regional and national breweries.

  • 6+ rare and exclusive beer styles from festival partner Sierra Nevada Brewing Company at the High Altitude Bar. These styles are typically only available at the Festival and the brewery.

  • Classic Sierra Nevada Brewing Company beer offerings in multiple festival bars.

Stay-tuned for more beer menu announcements!

Proof Of Vaccination Required For Super VIP Experience And Music Maker Relief Foundation Dinner

In order to protect our touring artists and staff in accordance with government health guidelines, proof of vaccination is required for all Super VIP Experience Pass Holders and Music Maker Relief Foundation Fundraiser Dinner attendees.

This requirement is subject to change in accordance with new governing guidance.
