Alex Maryol is a Santa Fe–based blues-rock artist whose gritty vocals and expressive guitar work blend Delta blues, indie rock, R&B, and Chicago-style blues. Once hailed as a blues prodigy, he has grown into a critically acclaimed alt-blues songwriter and performer, sharing stages with artists including Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, Lyle Lovett, Leon Russell, and Blues Traveler. He has also appeared at major festivals such as Telluride Blues & Brews and King Biscuit Blues Festival.
His latest album, In The Meantime, marks a creative rebirth—returning to a raw, guitar-driven sound rooted in heartfelt songwriting and honest storytelling. Recorded in Leadville, Colorado with engineer Tim Stroh, the album captures Maryol at a new point in his artistic journey, embracing authenticity, vulnerability, and the blues tradition that first inspired him as a young musician.
