Head Brewer: Max Shafer

Max joined Grand Teton Brewing’s production team in August 2012. After learning all aspects of their packaging operations, Max rapidly advanced to brewing and cellar operations. His passion for learning and producing distinctive beers led him to their fledging Barrel-Aging Program. Ina few short years, Max has grown Grand Teton Brewing’s Barrel-Aging Program from the initial twelve casks to two hundred casks that are now routinely producing award winning barrel-aged beers. His insatiable thirst to learn more about the science and art of producing great beers led Max to Siebel Institute ofTechnology in early 2016. Returning to the brewery in Spring 2016, Max was appointed Cellar Master. He has continued to make significant contributions to both the Cellar operations and Barrel-Aging Program at Grand Teton Brewing.
