Everything is enriched here.” That’s soul singer/keyboardist Jordan Anderson – the J of J and The Causeways – talking about New Orleans and how the band’s sound embodies their city. “It’s that breath of fresh air that is New Orleans.” Powerhouse, gutsy vocals, the punch of horns, and a loose but tight band are the hallmarks of this R&B/soul outfit. Being as quintessential a New Orleans band as can be imagined – they formed at the Maple Leaf Bar – they take their musical heritage very seriously. The result is captivating live shows. “New Orleans is home to some of the finest singers and musicians on the planet, which also means you have to bring your A-game to every single show - you’re representing this city and the long history of beautiful music that’s been created here,” Jordan says.
