Little Willie Farmer is a celebrated blues guitarist and singer, recognized as one of the best practitioners of the traditional Mississippi Blues style today. A lifelong resident of Duck Hill, Mississippi, Farmer spent decades earning his living as an auto mechanic while performing on nights and weekends, fueled by his love for old school legends like Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, and Lightnin' Hopkins. Farmer is a partner artist of the Music Maker Relief Foundation, which has supported his career. His powerful style, described as "deep blues," can be heard on his acclaimed 2019 album, The Man From the Hill, which brought him critical praise and advanced his lifelong dream of retiring from the repair shop to focus on music full-time.
