Sometimes, when you’ve got the blues, a good guitar and the courage to strut your stuff to the rest of the world, you start out young. New Mexico’s Chris Dracup started performing in his hometown of Taos when he was just 16 years old. That started a career of performing in a string of acclaimed bands in which he played lead guitar and sang, drawing critical acclaim and packed houses. Dracup is equally adept on both electric and acoustic guitars and has melded a number of styles – Delta slide, country blues and jazz - to forge a sound uniquely his own. And, Dracup writes his own songs, which endears him to his large and loyal fan base. Don’t be surprised when he breaks out some funk or reggae – this guy’s talent runs deep.
