The closing song "Garden of the Gods" from the Austin four-piece The Bright Light Social Hour at the 22nd Annual Telluride Blues & Brews Festival was mesmerizing and far-out. Quite frankly, their whole set was a compelling, musical statement that rocked on so many levels. If you attended the 2015 Blues & Brews Festival, you had the pleasure of meeting Leo “Bud” Welch, the last of the Mississippi Delta blues guitarists. Up until very recently, Leo "Bud" Welch was only known to his neighbors in his hometown of Bruce, Mississippi. Bud was born in 1932 and began playing guitar at the age of 13.  While making his living working in the logging industry and on the farm, he never quit playing guitar.

The guys of Blackberry Smoke had a groundbreaking year, releasing their critically-acclaimed forth studio album, "Holding All The Roses", playing sold-out shows around the world, including shows with legendary rock band ZZ Top at the 22nd Annual Telluride Blues & Brews Festival.

The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band is a three-piece American country blues band from Brown County, Indiana, that mixes the blues along with country music. Their shows have a frenetic performance and fierce energy that grows exponentially – with Peyton tearing hard-driving rhythms from his guitar. His wife, Breezy, plays the washboard, adding a gritty, folksy texture to the songs, and drummer Ben “Bird Dog” Bussell brings a barn floor–stomping beat like no other!

Your support and enthusiasm, combined with the stellar weather, sold-out crowd and great music, created an energy and vibe at the festival that was palpable. Those that participated in the 2015 festival know why Blues & Brews is renowned as one of the most scenic and intimate music festivals in the country. Snow-capped 13,000 foot peaks and bright sunny days made this three day celebration truly grand. The blues, rock, gospel, soul and comedy touched the musical nerve of every person in attendance. 56 breweries and over 170 styles of hand-crafted beers just complimented an already amazing weekend.

2015 was a big year for past performers of the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival! In total, eight Blues & Brews alums received nominations for the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards. These artists have a shot at winning the recording industry's most prestigious award during 'Music's Biggest Night'.

We just wrapped up another phenomenal year here at the 22nd Annual Telluride Blues & Brews Festival and want to take a moment to thank everyone that made it such a memorable experience! With smiles on our faces, we walked away with a deep appreciation of the amazing community of individuals that come back each year to help us create and celebrate this unique event!
