Rock And Roll Photographer Weekend Package

Attention music and photography fans! Learn the ins and outs of what it’s like to be a Rock and Roll photographer with instructor Barry Brecheisen. Spend the festival weekend with someone that has been in the photo pit for almost 20 years. He will share some of his secrets and spend the weekend demonstrating the real-world application of these ideas first hand, as you shoot alongside him, up close and personal, in front of front row.

The weekend package price includes a 3-Day Festival Pass, course instruction including on-site access to the Festival Photo Pit and Media Tent. This is an amazing opportunity to experience the Telluride Blues & Brews festival in a whole unique way with your camera in hand, learning from a pro.

* Please Note: Students should have a basic working knowledge of their SLR digital cameras and manual mode will be encouraged but not required. For the best shooting experience, two lenses are recommended: 24-70 mm and 70-200 mm. If you don’t own them, consider renting them. A laptop with photo editing software is also preferred in assisting for next day critique and a jump/flash drive to share your selects.

Instructor Bio:

Photographer Barry Brecheisen’s images appears regularly in every major magazine from; Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, People, US, Time to name a few. Known first and foremost as a Rock and Roll photographer, Barry was the original photo editor for RollingStone.com from 1998-2001. He has shot the legends like Ray Charles, Paul McCartney, Madonna, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Bruce Springsteen in his almost 20 year career. However, he has also shot the current mega-stars; like Radiohead, Beyonce, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Garth Brooks, Amy Winehouse, along with practically every famous rock star that’s toured since the late 90s. These days he is a highly in-demand independent freelancer working out of Chicago for PR companies, magazines and wire services traveling all over the country.​​ This will be his 10th year as festival photographer for the Telluride Blues and Brews.
