Music Maker Relief Foundation Fundraiser Dinner

Join us for an unparalleled musical, cultural and culinary experience! On Thursday, September 12, the Telluride Blues Society is hosting an evening of live music, dinner and a special studio recording with a festival artist to support the Music Maker Relief Foundation. This fundraising event will be held at the intimate, mountainside recording studio, Studio In The Clouds, located in the towering San Juan Mountains surrounding Telluride.

Attendees will be picked up and transported to the Studio in the Clouds where they will be treated to an exquisite, seasonal dinner menu prepared by Bravo TV's "Top Chef" competitor and owner of Telluride's own 221 South Oak restaurant, Eliza Gavin. The evening commences with a champagne and appetizer reception, welcoming greeting from Music Maker and interaction with the musicians before viewing a live studio recording being made by festival artists from the Music Maker roster. Dinner with the artists will follow immediately after completing the recording.

This event gives attendees a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes and get an exclusive, inside look at the recording process while watching artists create a record. Attendees will take home a one-of-a-kind copy of the recording and a signed souvenir to commemorate the experience. Fundraiser Tickets are on sale now in limited quantities while supplies last. Bal De Maison

Thursday, September 12, 2019 - Opening Party

Artist: TBA

Doors: 8:30 pm | Showtime: 9:00 pm

Originally Bal de Maison's were dances held at someones house - typically in the front room which was cleared of furniture. Quite often these dances were announced by the host of the party simply by standing on their porch and yelling to their neighbor. Word would often travel up to 40 miles this way. Well here is our shout out - we are having a dance party on Thursday, September 12th to open the Festival, spread the word!

Please note, VIP and Juke Joints passes are not valid for show entry, this is a separate ticket. To purchase tickets, please click here.

Juke Joints

After the festival ends in Town Park, we continue the music at 10:00 pm on both Friday and Saturday nights at the local “Juke Joint" shows located in various venues throughout Telluride. Juke Joint passes allow access to all Juke Joint venues for the night purchased. See 5 different shows each night for $30.

Juke Joint venues include: The Blues Stage, The Moon at O'Bannon's, Telluride Elks Lodge, Sheridan Opera House, and The Liberty Bar & Lounge

Be aware, Juke Joint passes do not guarantee entry to the show, all venues are first come, first served and based on the capacity of each venue. As they fill up, we direct you to which Juke Joints are not full. As the night goes on, crowds at the Juke Joints tend to rotate, so even if you can't catch the start of the band you want to see, there's a good chance you can catch the last half of their show. So, if there is one particular band you really want to see, get in line early for the show! Doors open at 9:45 pm. Doors open at 9:30 pm for VIP pass-holders. The VIP 3-Day Pass includes entry into all Juke Joints, dependant on capacity. The Juke Joint schedule will be released in summer 2019.

Stand Up Comedy

Comedy returns to Blues & Brews with stand-up shows from established and up-and-coming comedians. On Friday and Saturday nights, we will host the "Dirty Shows" starting at 10:00 pm during the Juke Joints. For the young at heart, please note that some of the comedy will be adult in nature. Catch all four comedians again on the Blues Stage, Saturday and Sunday afternoons during the Festival. The comedy schedule will be announced in summer 2019.

Mitch Woods Club 88

Mitch Woods' Club 88 is a FREE after-hours jam session hosted at The Liberty Bar & Lounge (located at 121 S Fir St) starting at 11:30 pm on Friday and Saturday nights of the Festival weekend.

As host of the after-hours Piano Bar, the extraordinary boogie-woogie/jump blues piano master Mitch Woods has created a beloved tradition that returns to Blues & Brews for the third year. Mitch hosts the late night sessions, and musicians come to sit in after they finish playing their festival sets.
All musicians are invited, so bring your axe for some late night jammin’ at the piano above the mile high limit! Expect some surprise guests and lots of great music in an intimate soulful setting. Let the good times roll!

Fais Do Do

Sunday, September 15, 2019 - Closing Show

Artist: TBA

Doors: 8:30 pm | Showtime: 9:00 pm

"Fais Do Do" roughly translates to "Cajun dance party". The parties were named for the gentle command ('go to sleep') young mothers offered bawling infants so that they could get back out and dance with their husbands before someone else did. This is our final show of the weekend and soon we will all go to sleep! This show is a highlight for many and one you won't want to miss!
